🌟 Overview

The Portage Youth Soccer Club (PSC) is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Member at Large to join our Board of Directors.

This key volunteer position provides an opportunity to make a meaningful impact on our club and community, helping to drive our mission of fostering youth development through soccer in Northwest Indiana.

As a Member at Large, you’ll assist with a variety of projects, participate in decision-making, and help ensure the success of PSC programs and events throughout the year.

⚽ Responsibilities

• Attend monthly board meetings and actively participate in discussions.
  

• Assist with special projects and committees, such as fundraising, community engagement, or player development initiatives.
  

• Help coordinate and support club events, including tournaments, evaluations, and end-of-season celebrations.
  

• Serve as a liaison between families and the board, communicating ideas and feedback.
  

• Provide support to other board members and step in as needed.
  
  

💡 Desired Qualifications

• Availability to attend monthly board meetings and contribute a few hours each month.
  

• Passion for youth sports and community involvement.
  

• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  

• Dependability and a positive attitude.
  

• Experience in event planning, fundraising, or outreach is a plus (but not required).
  

⚖️ Eligibility (Per PSC Bylaws)

In accordance with PSC’s bylaws, all board members must:

• Be at least 18 years of age.
  

• Be a member in good standing with the Club.
  

• Have attended a minimum number of club meetings within the previous 12 months to be eligible for voting roles.
