PSC Spring 2026 TRAVEL

SPRING 25/26

The Portage Youth Soccer Club (PSC) Travel Program offers players the opportunity to compete at a higher level of play while representing our community throughout Northwest Indiana. Registered with the Northwest Indiana Soccer League (NWISL), the program provides a competitive and structured environment designed to further develop each player’s technical skills, tactical understanding, and love for the game.

About the Program:

League Affiliation & Organization: All PSC travel teams are registered with the NWISL, which manages division placement, game schedules, referees, and the end-of-season tournament.

Games & Tournaments: The program includes 8 regular season games plus an end-of-season tournament. Most games are scheduled on Sundays.

Home & Away Matches: Half of the games are played at PSC’s home fields at Imagination Glen East, while away games involve travel to surrounding cities such as Munster, Griffith, Crown Point, Dyer, Chesterton, and Lowell.

Player Development: Emphasis is placed on advanced skill training, teamwork, sportsmanship, and preparing athletes for continued growth in the sport.

Coaching: Volunteer coaches guide players in developing their abilities while fostering confidence, discipline, and passion for soccer.

Community & Representation: Players proudly represent Portage while competing with and against some of the best teams in Northwest Indiana.

Note for Newer Players

If your child is new to soccer or still gaining experience, we recommend starting in our PSC In-House Program. The in-house league provides a fun, supportive environment focused on learning fundamentals and building confidence, with less travel and time commitment. Players who begin in the in-house program will be well-prepared to move into the travel program once they are ready for a greater challenge.

El Programa de Viaje del Portage Youth Soccer Club (PSC) ofrece a los jugadores la oportunidad de competir en un nivel más alto de juego mientras representan a nuestra comunidad en todo el noroeste de Indiana. Registrado en la Northwest Indiana Soccer League (NWISL), el programa brinda un ambiente competitivo y estructurado diseñado para desarrollar aún más las habilidades técnicas, la comprensión táctica y el amor por el fútbol de cada jugador.

Acerca del Programa:

Afiliación y Organización de la Liga: Todos los equipos de viaje de PSC están registrados en la NWISL, la cual se encarga de la colocación en divisiones, los calendarios de juego, los árbitros y el torneo de fin de temporada.

Juegos y Torneos: El programa incluye 8 juegos de temporada regular más un torneo de fin de temporada. La mayoría de los juegos se programan los domingos.

Partidos Locales y de Viaje: La mitad de los juegos se juegan en los campos locales de PSC en Imagination Glen East, mientras que los partidos de visita requieren viajar a ciudades cercanas como Munster, Griffith, Crown Point, Dyer, Chesterton y Lowell.

Nota para Jugadores Principiantes

Si su hijo(a) es nuevo en el fútbol o aún está adquiriendo experiencia, recomendamos comenzar en nuestro Programa Interno de PSC (In-House Program). La liga interna ofrece un ambiente divertido y de apoyo enfocado en aprender los fundamentos y ganar confianza, con menos viajes y compromiso de tiempo. Los jugadores que comienzan en el programa interno estarán bien preparados para pasar al programa de viaje una vez que estén listos para un mayor desafío.

The PSC In-House Soccer Program is designed to provide players of all ages and skill levels a fun, competitive, and local soccer experience. Our focus is on skill development, teamwork, and sportsmanship, while keeping travel and scheduling manageable for families.

Practices will be held at Columbus Park in Lake Station practice fields, and games will take place at 3280 Lute Road on our practice travel fields. Players will be grouped by age and skill level and participate in sessions that emphasize technical skills, tactical understanding, and a love of the game.

PSC volunteer coaches lead practices and games, creating a safe, supportive, and enjoyable environment for players to develop skills and confidence. All participants will wear PSC shirts, ensuring consistency and pride in representing the club.

The program runs during the Fall and Spring seasons, offering opportunities for continued development and progression into travel programs.

¡Portage Youth Soccer Club “PSC” Fútbol Interno en Lake Station!

Ubicación: Columbus Park – Lake Station, IN

Programa de Fútbol Interno de PSC

El Programa de Fútbol Interno de PSC está diseñado para ofrecer a jugadores de todas las edades y niveles de habilidad una experiencia de fútbol divertida, competitiva y local. Nuestro enfoque está en el desarrollo de habilidades, el trabajo en equipo y la deportividad, mientras mantenemos los viajes y horarios manejables para las familias.

Las prácticas se llevarán a cabo en los campos de práctica de Columbus Park en Lake Station, y los partidos se jugarán en 3280 Lute Road, Portage en nuestros campos de práctica. Los jugadores se agruparán por edad y nivel de habilidad y participarán en sesiones que enfatizan habilidades técnicas, comprensión táctica y amor por el juego.

Los entrenadores voluntarios de PSC dirigen las prácticas y los partidos, creando un ambiente seguro, de apoyo y divertido para que los jugadores desarrollen sus habilidades y confianza. Todos los participantes usarán camisetas de PSC, asegurando consistencia y orgullo al representar al club.

El programa se desarrolla durante las temporadas de Otoño y Primavera, ofreciendo oportunidades para el desarrollo continuo y la progresión hacia los programas de viaje.
